These are the best pants I have bought in such a long time. They are "nice" enough to wear to work. The fit was perfect for me - I am a size 4 and they fit true to size. The rise of the crotch is pretty low - the button closure is about 4 inches below my naval. I think if you were someone who was full up front this wouldn't work for you (I am hip-py, these pants are perfect for me). I am 5'4" and the petite version falls just right. I was pleasantly suprised by the long front pockets. There are no back pockets on the butt cheeks, which is a streamlined, professional look. I actually bought these for a trip to Haiti but they might be too fancy!
