This is a very beautiful suitcase. That is indisputable (if you're into this style!) The interior is gorgeous and I love the way it zips around inside making two compartments, which allows nice separation and organization of clothing.

While the suitcase is very beautiful, I would not consider it "durable". The exterior design is merely a decal, so it is easily scuffed/nicked and damaged. After only two trips, the bottom already has areas of the decal rubbed away. Part of this is from my 6 year old daughter improperly letting the luggage drag too closely to the ground, due to her height. Keep this in mind, if you are buying this for a younger user. Many of the scuff marks in the higher areas however, are from normal usage. We have never checked the luggage in the bottom of the plane - it has only been used as a carry-on. I would definitely NOT recommend checking this, because I can only imagine the damage an uncaring airplane staff would cause by tossing it around haphazardly.

All of that being said, I do still like it a lot and do not regret the purchase. There are scuff marks. There are peeling areas of decal, but it means we have been fortunate enough to travel and actually use the suitcase.

Summary: Beautiful luggage - not extremely durable, so handle with care.
