David King & Co. Letter Size Distressed Messenger Review

Just got my bag in the mail! Very quick shipping; I only ordered it...Wednesday or Thursday of last week.
It is beautiful leather, very soft and supple. Floppy, really...but that doesn't bother me because books will give it shape.
The hardware all looks very sturdy, and though I haven't filled it yet I am fairly certain they will hold up.
I priced other leather bags from places like Land's End and L.L. Bean, but read reviews stating that the clasps were not well-made and tended to slip. The buckle and snap closures are very sturdy, and though there is more finagling with the straps, it's a good sacrifice for ease but unreliability. Also, the other bags I priced were in the $150 range, while I only paid $104 total for this one.
Overall I'm very pleased; we'll see how that holds up once I start putting heavy books in it!
