I couldn't say enough about this jacket. It's an old fashioned Parka, trimmed in style and goes slightly below hip. The color [Yellow] is not bright but almost faded in appearance. It's meant to be a soft shell for snowboarding. But, I think with a cotton base-layer [thermal] it will get you through zero degree temp. Superior quality rain proofing, equals a GoreTx fabric. The appearance is stiff fabric, pockets are slanted and not too big, just deep. Once you put your hands inside, the entire jacket nearly seals off the body heat and snugs. The hooded top is designed to work like a camel neck military style cover. If you zip it to the top, the entire shell seals off to windy conditions, icy weather and keeps you warm inside. If you are a climber, this will muster snowy elevation condition, test it out with cotton base-layers.
I think FourSquare can challenge more expensive brands like Arcytryx, Spyder, NorthFace, GoteTx, Timerland..etc. The shipping was quick through Amazon(<5 days). The price is simply too attractive. I am quite sure once FourSquare establishes market, this jacket would go up to $250.00 by next winter..they all do.
