I bought these pants for my husband because I was so pleased with my Yumalina pants. The goals was to have a comfortable light-weight snow pant that could handle our active lifestyle in Maine (cold, lots of snow).
My husband wears these pants non-stop. They are his go-to around-the-house pant as well as his outdoor snow pant. Even in the coldest weather, you don't need anything more than a lightweight long underwear tight. He wears them all the time. Skiing. Hiking. Biking. Snowshoeing. Having coffee. Watching "Mad Men." The only time he does not wear these pants is going to work, and that's only because I said they don't look good with a button down shirt and tie.
