I bought these (2010 model) as a replacement for my 2009 PRO shorts when I crahsed hard and ripped up my shorts. (It hurt almost as much as my wounds watching the EMT's cut off my $130 cycling shorts!!). This appears to be the newest model. PI seems to change their shorts every year, something which can be good, or bad. In any case, this model is not as good as the previous. The chamois is more "furry" as opposed to the previous "smooth" chamois. I don't mean furry like a dog or anything, it's more like the feel of a cotton t-shirt versus a polyester shirt. I preferred the smoother feel of the previous chamois. Also, the bulk of the short material feels more coarse than last year's model. The differences are slight, and I still love the comfort of these shorts, but I thought the one I wrecked was a bit better.

Also, PI drives me nuts with their different fit between short models. I have this model, the Attack short, and the Elite short, each of which fit differently. The Elite short is big, and rides way up on my midsection. This model is much smaller, but still fits. I actually like the fit of this more, but it should probably be called Small/Medium as opposed to the Elite's Large/Medium. (And the Attack short would be in the middle...Medium/Medium, LOL!).

Anyway, these are great shorts and very comfortable...it's the only short I wear. The PRO's are great, but I like last year's a bit better.
