This is a very nice vest. The lining is red, very red, in color but does not show during use. The waxed outer layer feels similar to the drover or duster coats.
Well stitched, and nothing that looks cheap or flimsy. My impression is that this vest will last.
I can heartily recommend this vest.

While I haven't had the chance to wear the bottoms yet, I have worn the top of this wonderful product. Extreamly flexable warm and breathable, I wore the top under a button down while raking leaves(yuck)on a cold cloudy day in October. I was actually hot, but not sweating. I removed the button down and the thermal shirt performed just fine on it's own. The claim by Helly Hanson is that the shirt performs well in the 5 to 45 degree range and while I haven't yet been in weather below freezing yet, I believe this is a fair estimate. I'll update this review after I take out my snowmobile and run it and this product through their paces.

These knickers are comfortable kept me warm on rides in weather down to 45 degrees. I rode them down into the 30's and at that point you just have to accept you're going to be somewhat cold. The fleece doesn't chaff your skin and the 3/4 length makes these great for spring/fall riding. I suggest sizing up, since they're european. I had to return my first pair (M) for a Large. Overall a solid piece of equiptment.
