This coat has lots of great features for cold weather activities. The attention to detail is typical of Mountain Hardwear, including waterproof zippers, great seams, above-average water repellant, etc. The Conduit fabric feels so soft that it's hard to believe it's so water repellant and durable. I like that it's made to endure the wear and tear of a backpack.

It feels lighter and fluffier than I expected, and it's very comfortable to wear. The cut is athletic. I'm athletic, 6'2" 220lbs with broad shoulders, and an XL fits perfectly w/ enough room for layers underneath but not too baggy without them.

It's only missing one thing to be "five stars." Since I'm so hot-blooded, I really wish it had pit zips. This thing breathes well enough that eliminating sweat isn't the problem; pit zips would just help me stay cooler when the climb gets steep.
