I purchased this bag for an Aire kayak, a 14' tandem. The kayak fits in this bag and is easily carried either in the hand or on the back though the fit is a bit tight. It's not so tight that it can't be done and the price is pretty reasonable. I can see this bag as being quite useful if you were using an airplane and wanted to bring your kayak or other gear for that matter...the straps for carrying the bag on your back are very comfortable. I did purchase a separate extra large duffle to transport my kayak to and from the water. It's just easier to get everything packed up that way.
