I was given this jacket as a Christmas gift. When I opened the package I thought, "Oh God! Horizontal stripes !! If I put this on, it is going to add more chub-factor than the 7 pieces of maple bacon I just ate for breakfast. But I had to put the jacket on because my sweetest, kindest, most generous Aunt Mae had come all the way from Portland to Connecticut for the holidays and was sitting right in front of me giddy and beaming with present-giver anticipation. So I sucked in my pork-saturated stomach and put the jacket on. Wow!
As you can tell, I am a truly brutal judge of my own physique, but I have to say, this jacket looks really great on me. The stripes are skinny and the
side panels are nice and dark, so it actually is kind of slimming. Plus, it just felt really good. The inside is lined with a ridiculously soft fleece that cuddles and cradles your body like pancakes cradle butter. I am actually thinking of buying one in another color.
