I bought this jacket to use on backpacking trips so I can show my UK pride and stay warm at the same time. While I haven't taken this to the office yet to weigh it yet I feel certain it weighs the same or less than the insulated Marmot jacket I had originally purchased for this purpose. Plus, it is much more durable than the Marmot jacket. If you have looked at the lightweight insulated jackets by Marmot, Patagonia, etc, you know how easily those can get ripped or snagged. This jacket is has a very durable shell that also repels the rain and wind. This jacket will roll up to take up very little space in my backpack and with the omni heat technology it appears to be very warm for the weight. I have no concerns at all wearing it around camp with temps in the upper 20's to lower 30's.

Great looking jacket that I can also wear with casual clothes. If you're looking for a stylish jacket that you can use to keep you warm without all the bulk of normal jackets, then this one's for you. Yeah, it's not cheap but it is much less expensive than a Patagonia.
