I've worn Oakley Half Jackets for most of my running career and couldn't be more satisfied with them. If you are a frugal person, it may seem unreasonable to pay $120 for a pair of sunglasses, when you can get some for a few dollars at Walmart. The first time you do a long run in the heat, you'll pay with chafing on your nose and behind your ears, and you'll constantly be adjusting them during your run as they slip and slide everywhere. It's worth it to pay for quality.

After losing my last pair of Half Jackets, I decided to explore the lower end of the sport sunglass market. In my opinion, the Tifosi Alpe's are about half the quality of the Oakleys, for a third of the price, making them worthwhile to try out.

I tried cheaper options, but they were all unsuitable for various reasons. If you are a long distance runner, these glasses are fine, but don't try to go any lower in the market. They stay fixed on my face when I'm sweaty (but not as well as the Oakleys) and don't rub me raw on the nose or behind the ears.

I have a narrower face and longer head than average, so I have trouble finding comfortable sunglasses. If they have a L-shaped area on the end, that generally means they won't be comfortable. However, these glasses fit me great. If your face is broad, they might not look good on you.
